Your account

You sign in with Apple. You must be at least [MINIMUM AGE] years old. Keep one account per person; your country is set once when you sign up.

What you post

You can forbay up to ten songs a day, each with a note. Your notes are yours; by posting them you let us show them in the app, on share links and on this website.

Don’t post notes that harass, threaten or impersonate anyone, or that are hateful, sexual or illegal. Don’t use bots, multiple accounts or paid schemes to push songs up the charts.

Content and conduct

Forbay has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Don’t post anything hateful, harassing, sexual, spam or otherwise objectionable in your forbay notes, username or display name.

Anyone can report a forbay or a user in the app: tap “⋯”, then “Report forbay” or “Report @username”. We review reports within 24 hours. We may remove content and delete accounts that break these rules, without notice. A forbay reported by several people may be hidden automatically until we have reviewed it. The person you report is not told who reported them.

You can also block people: open their profile, tap “⋯”, then “Block”. Notes, usernames and display names are checked against a list of blocked words when you write them.

Music

Songs, previews and artwork come from Apple Music and belong to their rights holders. Everyone hears 30-second previews; full songs play with your own Apple Music subscription.

When things go wrong

You can block anyone. We may remove notes or forbays, and delete accounts, that break these terms, without notice.

The service

Forbay is provided as is. We work to keep it running but cannot promise it will always be available, and we may change or end features. [LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND GOVERNING LAW]

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
